Baked Personal Pizza Ring

Baked pizza ring with Italian sausage, cheese, and pepperonis.



Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated Crescent Rolls (8 count each)
  • 1 lb. ground Italian sausage
  • 6 oz thick cut pepperoni slices or approximately ¾ cups
  • 2 cups shredded colby jack pizza cheese (16 oz)
  • 16 ounces or 2 cups pizza sauce
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese 

Directions

  1. Set grill/pizza oven to 400 ˚F.
  2. Sauté sausage on griddle or frying pan until crumbled and done.
  3. Chop pepperonis, save roughly 16 for topping.
  4. In medium bowl, mix sausage with chopped pepperoni, cheese, and half of the pizza sauce.
  5. Unroll crescent rolls, separating each triangle.
  6. Arrange on parchment paper lined baking sheet in a circle with pointy ends facing outward and bases of triangles overlapping. 
  7. Spoon the remaining pizza sauce on each crescent roll triangle as a base layer.
  8. Add sausage mixture on each triangle to complete circle and add more cheese.
  9. Fold triangle tips over filling and tuck the tips inside (filling will peek out between triangles).
  10. Melt butter and brush lite layer on top of dough ring before baking.
  11. Add sliced pepperonis on top.
  12. Bake 8 to 10 minutes and then rotate baking sheet back to front to ensure even cooking as needed and continue baking until golden brown.

Pro Tip

  • Use spray butter to spritz top of pizza ring instead of melted butter.
