Smoked Whole Ham

Ingredients

  • Apple wood chunks
  • 1 (12-pound) precooked bone-in picnic ham
  • 1 – Lanes BBQ Ultimate Ham Kit

Directions

1. Set a grill/smoker to 275F and add the wood chunks.

2.  Score the ham with 1-inch squares, 1/2 inch deep, and place in a 9 x 13-inch pan. (Scoring the ham not only gives it a festive look, it also allows the glaze to elevate the flavor of the meat.)

3. Smoke in the pan on the middle rack for 2 to 3 hours.

4. In a medium bowl and simmer ham glaze over medium heat.

5. Pour the glaze mixture over the ham and continue smoking for 30 additional minutes.

6. Serve with honey mustard sauce

Pro Tip

  • Blend 1 cup honey and 1 tablespoon brown mustard for honey mustard dipping sauce.
