Why It Matters:
Small tanks and late model vehicle inlets are too small for the standard Auto-Stop Spout diameter. The spout adapter solves the problem. No more funnels. No more spills. Just smooth fills and more control.
Will the flow rate be slower when using the Spout Adapter?:
When using the Spout Adapter, you will notice a slower flow rate compared to using the standard Tuff Jug Auto Stop spout by itself. This is due to two factors:

The Spout Adapter has a smaller internal diameter than the standard auto-stop spout, thus flow is restricted.

A vent line cannot be run all the way to the tip of the adapter, which limits airflow and slows dispensing.
If you plan to primarily use your Tuff Jug with the Spout Adapter attached and would like to improve the flow rate, we recommend installing an external poly vent on your Tuff Jug. This allows added airflow and significantly improves pouring speed. Poly vents can be found here.
